Homeowner Information Package
As a new home buyer it is Aspen Ridge Homes’ responsibility to ensure that you have received a Homeowner Information Package, referred to as a HIP, before the Pre-Delivery Orientation (PDO) of your new home.
This Tarion publication provides a general overview of warranty coverage and procedures under the Ontario New Home Warranty Plan, created under the Ontario New Home Warranty Plan Act.
The HIP contains:
- Statutory Warranty info that applies to all new freehold and condominium units built in Ontario.
- Outline of responsibilities for Homeowners, Builders and Tarion.
- The process used by Tarion to handle statutory warranty claims.
Aspen Ridge Homes highly recommends that you set aside some time to review the contents and become familiar with the process.
