Winterlicious is back next Friday and will be running until February 7th! What better time to explore some of Toronto’s most adored restaurants without breaking the bank? With prix fixe lunches and dinners available at 192 restaurants, this is the time to ball out!
Here are our top picks to try this winter season. Call soon to reserve a table before there is no more available seating.
This restaurant is all about keeping things simple and highlighting what Canadian cuisine has to offer. Things we’re dying to try: Handmade Sourdough Bread with House Made Cultured Butter, and Hand cut Tagliatelle with Mushrooms and Catnip (yup, you read that right… catnip!)
“Pukka offers a forward thinking take on Indian cuisine. Featuring smart, zingy flavours, the menu is prepared by chefs each hailing from a different part of India. Dishes take you on a journey through decadent tastes, while maintaining a lightness that enchants the palette.” Things we’re salivating for: Eggplant Tartare and Pomegranate Pavolva.
The Chase Fish & Oyster ($33/$53)
If you love seafood, you’ve probably heard of the Chase with their creative presentations and innovative menu of hot and cold dishes heightened to bring out the natural taste of their offerings. Things we just can’t wait to order: Lobster Cobb Salad and their Catch of the Day.
Auberge du Pommier ($33/$53)
You can’t get any more authentic French food than at Auberge du Pommier. From the ambience to the food, prepare to be wowed. We’re thinking of starting with the duck terrine, followed by the grilled tenderloin, and finish with some French fromage with local honey.
N’awlins Jazz Bar & Grill ($43)
Cozy and romantic, N’awlins brings together jazz music and Cajun-Creole flavours to warm your belly and soul. Things to look out for on the menu: Orecchiette and Boubon Pecan Bread Pudding.
